The Lowry Hotel in Manchester was Sir Rocco Forte's first hotel in England and the first five star hotel in the city. The 170 bedroom hotel included a health spa, restaurant and conference facilities as well as separate retail outlets on the ground floor. Liam Denny was the project architect for the duration of the project and was responsible for the overall co-ordination of the construction packages and liaison with the other consultants and the client. The hotel has been awarded 'One of the Leading Hotels of the World' status and was shortlisted for the FX Interior Design awards.
